Current draw question

I did a search, but couldn't find what I was looking for. Does anyone know what the current draw should be for a 92 tpi car with ign in "off" position? Right now it is currently pulling 47mA. Seems just a little high, even with the cpu, radio memory, and alarm in disarm state. I was thinking a lower figure, something closer to about 20-15mA or so.

In a GM TSB for troubleshooting parasitic drain in most models they state less than 15ma is normal. The parasitic drain of 45ma is a little high, but not outrageous. It will reduce the time the car can sit before the battery reaches the technical state of discharge. TG's typically have a 75 amp/hr battery, so with a fully charged battery you can draw 75 amps for one hour or 1 amp for 75 hrs. Keep in mind unless the battery is trickle charged, in the vehicle they are only at about 80% of max capacity at best. You can do the rest of the math for idle time.

Thanks. That's what I was looking for. I figured it had to be around that range. All of a sudden my Optima just started going dead after sitting 2-3 days. I traced it to a bad cooling fan relay.
