I went through 4 alternators this weekend. and it seems like if i drive without the ac on it alt. will work just fine. But if i turn the ac on, everything works great but about an hour or 30 min or so of driving the alt quits working and i have to get a new one. The first 2 alt's were reman, then i decided to pay the difference for a one and still had to change that out. i only found that the ac being on is the reason the alt dies. but im not sure if its due to the extra load or something wrong with the wiring. So if i was to something that draw more load like an audio amp, if the problem is not the AC its but the load it draws, im not sure how to fix the problem. I know on my other camaro i could run The AC lights fans audio amp and more no problem. If anyone has any Ideas on how to actually find the problem and fix it, this would be great help.
