Wiring help with after market set up??
HEy guys im almost done wiring in my Automemeter set up with the Corvans gauge cluster and wiring harness. i have a few wires left over from changin the plugs and was woundering if there a big problem. and they're all on number 1 coinnector (white) for the stock harness. the first one is pin 3 choke heater& warning light its 2 blue wires. those right now dont go to anything. second was pin 14 alternator & volt meter 2 brown wires that now goto nothing. thired is number pin 8 is the veh speed sensor to ECM. i odnt have a computer so i take it i wont use this and since the car has a cable or had a cable it wont be used. last is pin 9 ground (vss/ecm) that goes to nothing now.
i was woundering for pin 3 with the 2 blue wires if i could wire that for my choke light instead of havin a check engine light? the Corvans wiring harness has the Check Engine light to be wired in but no Choke light so i guess it wouldnt hurt to switch the wires. since i also have no computer and that way i wont have a Check Engine light on all the time. Also i wired up the Brake light the way the instructions told me to and the light is still on wheather the parking brake is on or off. maybe it has something to do with the check engine light being on also since there is no computer.
last for wiring in the electric speedo. on the sending unit for the speedo it has a red, white and black wire but on the wiring harness i got i have a yellow and purple? any help there. i know one is a ground but im unsure about the red and white and the purple and yellow wires. anyhelp? thanx this is just the last bit i got to do as far as wiring then i gotta put in the sending units.
heres a crappy pic of the guages, i gotta pull everything apart again but im happy with how it looks im just waitin for my blue led's to show up and then get everything finished and thats one thing off the list.

Not to Thread Jack
Timz2882-
Not to thread jack here, but I'm doing a custom dash also, and I have a question for someone concerning the brake warning light. On C2, pin 14 goes from infinite to zero ohms depending on brake situation. Pin 13 is a hot wire. Can I wire a lamp connector with the wires from pin 13 and 14 and have the warning light function normally?
Trickster, you have been an awesome amount of help, those diagrams you sent were a g.o.d.send.
Once I get this figured out, I can start wiring everything up, and the fun begins.
BTW, Tim, any new pics of the dash?
