Replacing Ignition Switch
I've been having the problem most people have with the car not starting, It did it once last week and came right back on but now it doesnt do anything. I dont have VATS or the starter enable relay. So I dropped the steering colum and when I turn the key I noticed a rod sliding along the top of the column. So then thanks to when my car was stolen, the side of the steering column was exposed I pulled the rod from there and the car starts right up.
In short I figured the problem is with the ignition switch. And the same A-hole that stole my car took my repair manual (I guess he must a been a camaro owner) I dont know where to start. So if anyone has instructions on changing the switch, It'll be greatly appreciated.

If it will start when you pull on the rod you don't need to replace the switch, just adjust it Find the switch and loosen the screws on it and slide it to adjust.

Thank alot guys worked like a charm. It was actually easy once I got the high beam switch off. I may have done too much adjusting, because now I cant turn the key back once and get the radio to come on.
Now I may just replace the switch since its only 10 bucks and if it started to fail then thats its probably ready to go.
Thanks alot guys, these boards are always helpful!
