Electric problems?

ok, my passenger side headlight doesnt work tonight, worked two days ago. An hour later i get in and it works.....ok. Is there something i should replace to keep this from happening again? Another thing, sometimes when i get in my car i turn the key and it clicks but nothing happens, i let off the key and try again and it starts usually right on the second try, is there a bad spot in the starter maybe? thanks alot.

1) I dont know wat uve looked at if anything as far as the headlight but the wire into the back of the bulb may just be loose.

2) The click you get sounds to me like the starter is shorting out. weird that it would be intermittent though. Can you start it right after the click attempt or do you have to wait a minute or so?

Couple questions, is the click you hear the fuel pressure relay on the firewall?? Also, when you have trouble starting, is the motor cold or after it has run for a while? If it has been running for a while starter solenoid could be bad, that's the round part mounted to the starter. Have you tried putting 12Volts directly to the starter? If the motor turns over, then it is the solenoid not the starter. I have experienced a noticable click before starting from the starter before and it not start, but usually it was in a non-fuel injected car as the fuel pressure relay is much louder. Hope this helps!!

Ok couple other things: First your starting issue, if you used the info I posted before and all checks out fine, you problem is probably the fuel pressure regulator needing replacement. Think about it, if you turn the key on and it doesn't want to start the first time, but turning it again makes it start you are doing a kind of manual fuel pressure build up. You shouldn't have to, so the issue could be that regulator!!

As for the headlights, can you manually turn the lights up, you know the little **** you can see on top of the headlight motors when the hood is up, it could be a set of bushings in the headlight motor itself that are bad and need replacing. I know you can get the kits from Zip Corvette Products (shhhh) and I think they are about $10 per side and have the instructions to show ya how!

Hope this helps!!
