Turn Signal Question

Hey guys,

Well first of all yesterday i was driving and started to slow for a turn when i realised my turn signals stopped working. So i signed on to the forums and looked around a bit. After reading i went outside and checked my wires and fuses as people had stated to do. When i found nothing wrong i tried to use the signal and it worked! The only thing wrong now is that when the signal goes fron off to on, it sometimes dims down right after the light has turned on, then goes to full bright. As if the relay is telling the signal to turn off again rapidly, but i hear no click from the (whatever makes that noise) when it does this. All my lights are good, the only thing i noticed before was my highbeam switch didnt work for sometime, but fixed itself somehow. My question is, is this the relay thats going bad? and is this relay in the steering column or behind the fuse box under the dash. Thanks guys.

Sounds like your "multi function" switch may be going away. It's the switch inside your column that operates your turn signal, wipers, and high beams. Before replacing it, check the connections under your dash and check the voltage going to them.
