How To properly Vent battery in wheel well
Whats the requirements to properly vent a battery that has been relocated to the rear well, i would like to have a set up that i could run any type of battery be it sealed or not, but standard size for the F-body.
Do you just basicly drill a hole to the out side of the compartment, and run a hose to it? If so there really isnt much going on pushing the gasses from the battery out of the area, I belive hydrogen is made from discharging a battery, witch will rise, so vent above the battery holder?

1st: Running a hose to the outside of the car won't do any good unless the battery inside a sealed battery box.
2nd: If you will be using a sealed box, then it doesn't matter where the hose will be located on the box. The gases will eventually find their way out of the box through the hose.
I would just probably use a dry cell, deep cycle battery instead. No more problems with gases. Just my

I was planing on running a sealed box, like the 2ga kit from summit, but wasnt sure of the vent part of it, but i guess if it will eventually find a way out and be considered safe, then all should be good.
You should consider the NHRA approved Moroso relocation box and wires.
If it's in the rear well you may not need to drill a hole for the vent tube. You can run it from the box, through a neat little hole made in the carpet and then out an existing drainage hole.
I'd definitely still advise always buying a sealed battery, such as an Optima though.
