Headlight Hi/Low beam problem
I have a 91 camaro RS with cruise control. The Hi/Low beam switch will not click back to low beam. I have looked all through the Haynes manual and even searched on-line for instructions on replacing the switch as well as removing the turn signal arm from the steering column with absolutely no luck. Anyone able to direct me on how to replace these Items, or have knowledge of who who sells a service manual containing this repair?

From what I can tell, the switch is actually underneath the dash. Its on the Steering column. Look for a little metal rod, on the driver door side of the column. Best bet is to lay upside down on the seat and look underneath.

I had the same problem with my switch. Broken switch got stuck on high beam.
To get it back to low beam I pulled up on stalk and at the same time back.
Another way is to pull the steering wheel down past its lowest setting and do the same. Worked for me, though yours may be broken in a different way.

Found it. Rests on top of steering column and held in by two hex head screws. guess it has a tendency of loosening after time. I loosened screws and slid switch up to meet the rod from the lever actuator, retightened and it worked just fine. It was alot easier to drop the steering column. Gave better access. Thanks a million fellas!
