batt reloctaion

i'm in the middel of relocatin my battery to the trunk and what do i do with the wire coming out of the battery with the fuseibel links on it do i cut it and put it on the new wire what did you guys do.

I left mine there. Wrapped it in electrical tape and tucked it out of sight. No problems so far.

i was thinking what if you left everything like it is and when you put the battery in the trunk just run the back batt cabel to the starter and leave the exsisting one there would that be ok to do. and if you did that you wouldent have to run a wire from the alternator right sence its still all connected or would i have to run new wires to everything. thanks

Ok, here's what I did. I left the original positive cable in, simply disconnected and wrapped with electrical tape. Ran a 1 gauge wire from the trunk mounted battery to the starter. Ground the battery with a one gauge wire to the right side of the frame, keep the ground wire's length as short as you can. Worked out great for me, no problems with it.
