Trickster..pleas!!blower Motor Has No High Speed?

O.K. 89 IROC. WHEN I TURN ON THE SWITCH IN THE DASH TO RUN THE BLOWER MOTOR, I GET THREE SPEEDS NOT 4. NO HIGH SPEED. I HAVE PUT 6 SWITCHES IN, ALL ACT THE SAME.

COULD THE BLOWER MOTOR ITSELF BE BAD? IS THERE A RELAY MAYBE MESSING THIS UP?

i thought there was only, Lo, med, and high speeds. assuming of course you count "off" as well of course that would be 4 speeds.

Okay, there are 4 settings for the switch. "LO", "M1", "M2", & "HIGH". If you are not gettin anything from the high speed setting, there is a high speed blower relay mounted in the right hand side of the engine compartment near the blower motor. Check that.

TRICKSTER YOU THE MAN!

WHILE I WAS WAITING FOR A REPLY, READ ONE OF YOUR POSTS THAT INDICATED THERE WAS A FUSABLE LINK ASSOCIATED WITH THE BLOWER MOTOR AS WELL AS THE UNDERHOOD LIGHT. WELL, BOTH WEREN'T WORKING SOOOO, REPLACED THE LINK AND ALL SPEEDS ARE THERE NOW.

Yes it has been a long time. That fusible link that you are looking for is one of the small wires that are attached to the hot post of your starter. There is also a small in-line 3 amp fuse for the under hood light located near the right hood hinge. Hope this helps. By the way, to find out which one of those fusible links is bad. Lightly pull on them, the one that stretches is the one that is bad. Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
