Not sure about camaros, but Firebird dashes are easy, take off trim plate, unscrew cluster from dash, pull forward, bulbs are out back.
I recall something about some Camaros have some bulbs soldered to the cluster... don't quote me on that though.

I believe the cluster must be removed to yank the headlight ****. If I remember correctly, you should be able to see a small 'lever.' Pull the **** and push the lever. The bulbs are all numbered--simply pull them and verify the number.

I finally got it all taken apart, the button for the headlight **** on 91 z28's is on the bottom of the switch itself and is easily reached by removing the lower panels by where your knees are the rest is pretty simple, i removed the dash so i didnt have to drop the steering wheel down and the cluster came right out, bad news is the bulbs are all GM replacements.

that's a negative... you can get those replacements from an auto parts store. you can also replace them with different color bulbs, if you want. i did mine (more than 4 years ago) on my '91, so i know they're not a GM thing. with that said, no, i don't have the part numbers handy, BUT even though they are an "integrated" type socket/bulb, you can buy them separate and change them out any time you want. i do know for a fact that the sockets can be purchased at auto zone, cuz that's where i got mine. then i put red bulbs in them...

I don' t know a source, but pre-made LED bulb/holders are being made for the 194(?) lights for the dash. I heard they weren't expensive.
I'd get those over standard bulbs any day of the week if I intended to keep the car.

Kolkane,
I have yet to get that **** off... Would you mind expounding on how you did it. particularly what this button is... and/or whether the **** and rod come off together or whether the **** comes off of the rod that it is connected too... mine is 91 RS so i expect its exactly the same. I sure would like to have some gauges at night without the ugly map light hanging out of my cig lighter. Grats in advance.
