Hey guys.. I now know what each wire on my alternator does, where it goes, and what it should read on a voltmeter.. (researched it through the "search" button
) I can run a patch from the back of the alt straight to the + battery terminal to test that wire.. then if that doesnt work i can patch the brown wire to a 12v switched sourse (fuse block).. if that doesnt work I am still unsure of where I can patch the red wire on the top plug.. I know its a constant 12v.. can I just patch it straight to the battery to test it?? I want to figure out which wire is keeping the alt from charging the battery... so I know how to test two wires.. just gotta figure out the last one.. (red wire on top, 2wire plug)

problem fixed.. the "sense" wire wasnt receiving anything.. so the alt didnt know to charge when the key was on.. i simply ran a patch from the preexsisting wire I had run for the fan.. now anytime the switch is turned on the alt knows about it.. and in turn.. it charges..
