What bulbs to use 4 Blue Dash lights?

I've installed a lot of blue lights in my car and wanted to get rid of the orange guages. I've taken out the bulbs and replaced with blue ones from autozone. They were a lil dimm but worked. The only problem was after about a month or two the blue faded and they turned white. I haven't taken em out yet but I"m assuming the blue burnt off, since that's what happend with my dome light (before I made swaped it for a neon tube ). I was justy wondering if anyone knew of where to get blue bulbs that'll last, or maybe a blue sleeve to put over some clear ones. Since the orange dash was just clear bulbs with an orange sleeve. I thought about LED's, but I don't feel like paying $3-4 each, and adding all the mods and resistors.

APC makes colored glass bulbs (costly though) and cheaper priced LEDs can be gotten from www.superbrightleds.com
