Under steering column pics?
Hi
Would anyone have any under dash pics handy? I need to see where the 2 main connectors for the ignition wires go.
I bought a replacement steering column and sent my old one back as a core.
It seems as if it is missing a place to plug in the main ignition wires. (one blue, one black plug)
I hope I didnt just install the wrong column.
Also there is a single black wire with a 2 pronged connector at the end (kinda "j" shaped) any idea what this is?
The car is an 89 Iroc.
All I currently have is the door open buzzer and turn signals, headlights and wipers. No ignition functions.
Thanks,

I got the replacement column from Columns Galore about 2 years ago and paid $150 for it I believe, plus I had to ship mine back.
They sent me a freshly painted rebuilt replacement, but I didn't carefully inspect for any differences in the wiring setup before I sent my original back.
It hooked up ok.
Trickster, Did I fail to hookup that turn signal wire?
Here is what I have left over...the pictures are kinda dark since there is little light.
Thanks for the help!

Okay the four prong connector to the left in the picture is for the cruise control. The orange wrapped white wires are for the VATS on the ignition lock cylinder. The "J" connector is not for the turn signals, it is for the cruise control. The blue connector (I may be wrong, don't have book open) I believe is either for the ignition switch or the dimmer switch on top of the steering column under the dash.

Thanks Trickster! That was it...I don't know how I missed that plug on top of the column.
I will drop it back down tomorrow and get those connectors in.
Do you show that cruise control connector going up there too?
Well, it may be alive and running tomorrow after 5 long years...fingers crossed!
Thanks again,
Tuck
