What is draining my battery???
I went out to my car and tried to start it and it was really weak (made the clicking noise). Went out a few hours later to jump it and the battery was completely dead (not even enough juice to turn the dome light on). Jumped it and got it going and the amp guage was at 14. I drove it around for awhile and the battery was fine for about 3 weeks. I went out the other day and the same story...clicked and then a few hours later the battery was completely dead. I'm not sure what is draining it. I don't think it's the hood light cause I've worked under the hood for many many hours and I don't think that could drain a good battery in less then one day. I don't have any amps or anything, all the wiring is stock. The batter is an ac delco that is about 5 months old. I even took the battery out and had it tested at the gm dealer and it was fine. Could it be the starter??? Any suggestions are appreciated, thank you.

I think I might of located the problem. I noticed that the fan relay by my battery was making a very weird noise when the car was off. I bought a new one and will put it in tomorrow and see what happens.

Well that didn't work. Today I put on a new starter and the battery is still being drained when the car sits. My power antenna recently went out and I ended up disconnecting the connector under the dash. Is there anyway the antenna motor could still be drawing current? I can't hear the motor running or anything so I don't think that's it. It has to be something that draws a lot of power because the battery gets drained pretty quick...Is there anyway I can test by pulling fuses and with a light tester, I thought i read that somewhere...PLEASE ANY IDEAS ARE APPRECIATED.

Take your car to autozone or a place where they can test the battery and the alternator. Making sure your battery and alternator are functioning properly would be the first step.

I got my battery tested again, but by a different person and they said it was shot. The Chevy garage said it was fine the first time, so I spent all this time looking for a problem. I went back to the Chevy garage and they gave me another battery. We'll see if this one stays working, thanks.

Hopefully it does, it only takes one bad cell in that battery to give you problems.

I was informed; 1- keep the water level up on the cells. 2- if your own battery charger (mine is a 10 amp unit) has a guage that doesn't move down to batt assist portion of the display then your battery needs replacing. You really should get a battery charger and a multimeter as well will help measure your batteries.
I also found a drain caused by the air pressure pump in my Cadillacs' stock rear air assist ride level feature. People tend to frown on this for the sake of possible problems, but it's not well founded fear.
Worn circuits can be trouble-shooted as well, but there are a number of them and a shop might best do the work for you.
I disconnected both of my failed power antennas. That should be all you need in that department
