MSD 6a benefits
Was thinking of getting a msd ignition box but not sure if its worth the benefits or not. I tried a search but didn't come up with too much. I know some of you guys have them, see any difference at all?
thanks

If you have a fuel injected engine than it is not worth it. It is worth some gas mileage on a carb though. When I had it on one of my old efi'd engines it only lowered my MAP readings by 1 or 2. So I eventually just gave it away to a friend.

I bought the 6AL for my 92/ 305TPI. I saw 11 more miles from a tank of gas, faster startups, and better idel. I think it was worth the money. If you do get one I would by the wiring harness that MSD sells. It plugs right in to the factory harness so you don't have to cut any wires.

if you are a gadgety type of person who buys gimmick spark plugs like +4's sh!tfires, rapidcraps etc.....
save those pennies and get a 6a, two sets of plugs changes come close to what this box does, and it will help
i have it on every car, one is better start up (of maybe not something that is a huge benefit)
does help out when under load (in the case of a truck or towing)
excellent for modded motors, like big cams, forced induction etc.)
super easy to install
and slight gas mileage increases, minor in a FI car, noticeable in a carb car.
could help if you are border line on passing emmissions
just my experiences
negatives:
price
wiring time
burns caps and plug wires quicker
