Help adding another cigarette lighter for ipod charger

Okay I bought a female cigarette lighter with two fuse protected red and black leads. Im planning on connecting my ipod charger to this and hidding it under my seat. So I guess my question is where would these wires connect to under the dash to a 12V DC source so that it only gets power when the key is ON. I have a chiltons book but am clueless with the diagrams, anyone have suggestions?

By under the dash I mean the area under the steering wheel and above the pedals, with all of the wires.

There should be a bunch of empty slots in your fuse box. Just use a volt meter from one slot at a time, to ground. Then look for 12v when the key is on, and nothing when the key is off. Then run the red wire to the back of that socket, and the black I would assume to a good ground. The diagrams you have should also tell you which fuse slots are acc and not used if you don't want to use the old guess and check. Just take your time and study them till they make sense.
