custom wiring
Ok, first let me explain. I did a v6-v8 swap, MPFI to Carb. I pulled every last bit of wiring out of the car. Now i'm redoing all of the wiring and I made a diagram to help me. Can you tell me if I have my head in my ****?
R = Relay
S = Switch
I was looking to use 30AMP relays for every relay represented in this diagram. I planned on putting the fuel pump, electric choke and the distributor on the same relay.
I didnt use a relay on the starter, i figured since it will only receive +12v for a short time period, it wouldnt need one.
I have no clue what to do with the alternator wiring. There are 3 wires coming from the pigtail. Where do they go?
Hopefully I have this all correct. If not, yell at me
I did this in Autocad, if you want a copy of the DWG, let me know.

does anyone know? I'm sure that there is at least one person on this board that knows basic electronics.

That makes no sense. I'm not even going to try and decipher it becuase the first thing I noticed is the relays are even labeled. It just has a jumble of wires going to it. Use correct symbols for relays and switches and maybe it'd make sense, although I'm not totally sure why we are trouble shooting it. Also, make sure your starter switch can handle the current the starter draws. It may be brief but its alot of current.

i just wanted to know if the basic concept is correct, i'm not looking to get specific, i can handle the details of wiring a relay, i just wanted recommendations on relay amperage for fan, etc and to know if it would be a good idea or not to have the distributor, choke and fuel pump on the same relay. Thats it. I'm not here to ask why this doesnt work, i just want to know if the basic conepts are there, which i believe they are, does it really matter if i add 85, 87, 87a, etc to the relay? I know where +12v and the switch goes, so what does it matter? I appreciate the help you ghuys offer, but dont be so quick to jump my case, this isnt a complex situation.

i would put the fuel pump on a separate relay, incase something goes wrong u wont have 3 components not working at the same time....
