Battery going dead
Battery going dead
When I have my battery, something is pulling power and draining it. I charged it up, and it sat for about 3 days and didn't loose a charge. I had the Alt. checked and it is fine. When I put the battery in the car and hook it up, it is dead in a day. Now, it won't even jump off. It just turns and turns. Any ideas?

Get a multimeter, measure the current draw, then if its over 50mA pull fuses until something makes the current draw drop significantly.
Does it need to be running for that? That is a problem all on it's own right now. It kinda goes like this.
One day I go out to start it and nothing. So, I think, dead battery. Then I just jump it off. It runs okay for about 15 min, then dies. So, now I'm thinking, Alt. After going through all the stuff in the first post, I'm back to ground zero. Now it won't start at all. It sounded like a dead battery, but I was getting 11.5 volts on the battery

It doesn't have to be running, the keys actually shouldn't even be in it to test current draw. Leave the car exactly the way it sits when it drains the battery.
