I have a 92 Z28 (with 305 TPI) that I'm cannabalizing into my 85 Sport Coupe (better body). I want to tranfer the engine and tranny. I'm assuming I can just take the engine wiring harness and computer and transfer it. Right? Wrong?

Also, how about other things like power windows, seats, trunk, etc? Are these harnesses "plug-ins"? Will they plug into the harness in the 85 or do I need to tranfer the entire inside harness as well?

Any help will be GREATLY appreciated.

 

You should be able to transfer the ECM and its harness with minimal confusion.

the accessories may be a little different, since some of the connector designs were improved along the years and models.

 

The engine harness was my biggest concern, but it doesn't seem like it will be problem. The accessories, well, I'll just dig around and see if I find a spot in my harness. If so, I can probably change the connectors.
