Spark plug wires. Any preference?

Sorry to be asking this rhetorical question but it's that time to replace my spark plug wires. Upon inspection of my Taylor 8 mm's I see a couple have been singed, frayed, or slightly cut. I've been getting the dreaded engine stumble / cut-out at high rpm lately when I drive it on occasion. At this point I'm parking it before I do any damage.

I've been asking for people's opinions and it's been a mixed bowl. Many people have simply been saying to go with the AC Delco's.

I need something for both performance, reliability, and longevity.

I've heard some bad stories about the Taylor's (and they also cost a pretty penny).

Does AC Delco provide a high performance set of wires and if so what's the model / model #?

I figure it's gonna cost me at least $150 + (Cdn) so I need to make an informed decision. Thanks for any opinion.

I was told if you buy wires designed for a Corvette, they are 8mm instead of the 7mm our cars came with. Can get them at any parts store.

I run MSD 8.5mm on my car though. Got em in a trade and decided to use them. I have no complaints so far.
