I have 4 hours inbetween classes today so I'll take a shot at helping you out. I recently built my new 85 IROC and fired her up 9/5 so its fresh in my head.
I have a remote starter soleinoid (sp) so it may be slightly different but overall those 2 smaller gauge red wires go to battery for 12vdc power, large gauge wire from 12vdc to starter, large gauge wire from alternater to 12vdc.
I don't know about the two black wires w/ inline fuses, however with the addition of hooking up the neutral saftey switch the wires i called out should be all you need.
My neutral saftey switch runs off a special post on my aftermarket soleinoid so I couldn't tell you where it is supposed to run.
Other then that you'll need to hook up 1 and 2 posts on your alternator to what i believe 1 goes to starter to tell alt when to start charging the bat, and 2 goes to voltmeter HOWEVER THIS IS ONLY A GUESS - i haven't been able to confirm that.
I'm sure i missed quite a bit but this was enough to start up for me.
