Possible earth problems!

Hi there, as per the norm guys I need your help, my Z28's runing great thanks to you out there. Its taxed its legal and my wife's has OK'D a new paint job over the winter. Anyway to my problems. I bought a APC steering wheel and boss kit from e bay as the original was knackered. since then the horn has been tempremental to say the least it goes off constantly, I also fitted a white instrument cluster decal kit and now the fuel gauge is erratic. The cluster i found to be a nightmare to remove ie the speedo cable doesntgive you much room to move.Im sure ive disturbed an earthcan someone point me in the right direction? I'm coming over to Orlando and St Pete's in October any meets anywhere ?
Thanks again

BB780,

There is a ground connection to the instrument panel through the I/P connector at the corner. That should not have any relationship to the horn, however. The fuel guage may be affected, but so would the I/P illumination lights, warnimg lamps, and voltmeter.
