hi-beam switch

does anybody have any info on how to replace the high-beam switch in my 1990 r/s

Engine: 305 TBI
Transmission: 700R4
Axle/Gears: 2.73 Posi w/Disc
If it's like the 91-92 models, it's way down low on the steering column itself maybe 8" away from the firewall. All the ones I've seen are small white plastic units. Hard to get to, but not too difficult to swap once you're there. There should be a little adjusting screw which when loosened will let the switch slide toward and away from the HI/LOW selector lever. Make sure you set it & test it a few times before tightening everything down and bolting all the panels back together.

how do i get to it do i have to take off the steering wheel and go in that way

Start off by removing the two panels underneath the steering column. I'm not completely certain if the switch can be reached with the column in place, but I do believe so.
