Digital/LCD Fuel Gauge question

Hey fellas, I have an 88 GTA with the digital/lcd gauges.....

The problem is I cannot figure out if my fuel gauge works....I cannot tell if it is showing my vehicle topped off or if its broken.
I have a full fuel tank and the car is not drivable right now so I cannot realy burn gas to see if it will change the reading. The guage looks like:

------
------
------
------
------
------
------
------
------
E

(the three bottom ticks show orange when the car is on....the rest are dark, so does this mean the green indicates the fuel level and my gauge is not reading right)

I just need to see what the gauge looks like when the fuel tank is full.

Can anyone please post a picture of their digital fuel gauge reading full? I know this is a realy stupid question but I would like find an answer, thanks!

If you have a full tank of gas then all the lights on the fuel gage should be lit. If they aren't, then you either have bad wiring, a bad instrument cluster or a bad sending unit.

Ok, the thing is are all the lights supposed to be green or orange? Does green indicate the level?

i would imagine it is like any other guage. green means good. orange is caution... so you will have the orange and the green.. the orange i would say is probably 1/4 tank full.. while the green goes up from there.

Your guages must be broken if you think it's full and don't see green.
This is what it looks like:

OUTATIME GTA: is that guage reading full? Because your picture matches what my guages read and I have a full tank at the moment.

I changed a fuse so is it reading correctly then?

Thx for the posting of the pic!

If you are seeing the picture correctly, there are green bars all the way to the top.
Yes, this means it's full, they will dissapear starting from the top as gas is gone.
