My headlights dont come down or up electronically. I think its NOT the motors, where is the fuse for them? Is it anywhere near the fusebox? What amp fuse is it?
Here is a picture of the convenience center hanging down. It is normally bolted up out of the way under the edge of the dash. The two fuses are marked HDLP DR #1 & #2. You will also find the hazard flasher, horn relay, & the audio alarm assembly there as well. The fuses are 15 AMP.
Well.. I got to it. I didnt even have to pull down the whole thing I just went over the top and pulled the fuses out. Replaced them and headlights still wont go down or up.. What should I try next?

On the right side of the firewall? How much did the relay cost? Is it called the "headlamp relay"?
Ok heres the report. I first saw the wernt coming up when I start my car with a remote starter. The starter makes the lights go up as a visual confirmation that the car will start in a second. I had a mechanic check it out when I got an inspection and he said there is no power going to the relay. Leaving me to believe it was a fuse. I found it hard to believe both fuses can go at the same exact time but I did it anyway. Since its not the fuse and not the relay (since no power is going to it) and not the motors or gears ( no grinding sounds or anything) and I figure its not the headlight switch since the remote starter brings them up without the switch being flipped. What the hell else could it be? Another thing, im sure not if I noticed this before, once I replaced the fuses and I hit the headlight switch with the hood open, I could hear a faint click at around the firewall area. During driving around with my headlights up, one of them started to fall and I had a friend of mine at work do this thing that locks them up. Could this be an issue as to why their not going up or down with the new fuses. By the way, the fuses did not look blown, they looked new but I threw a few new ones in anyway.
Have you checked the head light switch?
It sends voltage to the relay on headlight ON and headlight OFF status. White Wire OFF (Headlights Down) Yellow Wire ON(Headlights Up). Both red wires will have 12 volts and the Black wire is Common 12 vdc. I found the problem with my headlights (On my 1989) firebird was the headlight switch contacts were bad, no voltage was getting to the RELAY to activate it. Just a Thought. Good Luck.
I had enough of this, im just going to take it to a shop. Since I know its not the motors it shouldent be too expensive. Thanks for all the help fellas, especially you Trickster.

OK currently having that problem with my 82 Trans Am SE. They went to the shop and the shop butchered it more than they fixed anything and now I don't have headlights tail lights or the dome light and the trunk release button does not work. I'm banking on the fact that's all connected to a fuse or relay. Which one is it and how do I find it?
The fuse for the headlamp doors are located in the convenience center of your car. There are two of them located there.
