dash harnes problems.
Due to a hacked up 4th gen dash install on the new iroc i just picked up, i am swapping back to the original dash (plus i like the orginal)i need an entire dash harnes and i got a bunch of questions: its an 86 IROC 305TPI
1) what years can i get the wiring out of (i already know i cant use an 85 connectors are different spent all day attpempting that swap)
2) are firbird and camaro gauge connectors the same?
3) any ideas where to get an entire harnes?
really need to know need to get the dash hooked up before i swap my built 350 in

For the 86 camaro you can use harnesses from the 86 to 88 camaros. No, for the most part firebird and camaro guage connectors are different. Not all of them, just the majority of them. Painless offers wiring harnesses for the camaros and firebirds. You might also want to PM S10wild (I think that is his name) and talk to him since he builds harnesses,

Yes the engine type makes a difference for the wiring harness. There are certain diferences between the harnesses not a whole lot, some of it is just re-pinning certain wires or leaving some connectors off.
