Not sure exactly what lights that you are talking about, but try taking a look at the "TAIL" & INST LMP" fuses.

There is a another dimmer module left of the steering wheel under the dash. I don't remember the exact name but maybe trickster does. If you put to big of a fuse in it will blow this module found that out the hard way installing a head unit. You must have a bare or short some where. Need to find before you replace this part. Where are you putting switches and what wires have you been messing with??

Update
Called Instrument panel dimmer ac delco part # d1509b

It is called the "Remote Dimmer" and is a transistor. It is located in this area.

If replacing that doesn't work then how about letting us know where you were putting these switches in. Maybe we can figure out you poked the wrong wire or something. My gauges kept blowing out when the dimmer light for my radio kept shorting to ground.

I had Problem with the remote dimmer switch also when installing a radio in a hurry. What kills the remote dimmer is when a larger then required fuse is used causing the next weakest link to blow which is the remote dimmer. As firebirdjosh stated you need to look over any wires you have been poking around to make sure you have not caused an bare spot that is hitting something metal causing a short and the fuse to blow. Find the source and then replace the 25.00 dollar part. Buy some smaller fuses also so you don't trash the new dimmer. Only use the fuse designed for that accessory. Hope this helps
