how do I change the bulb in my autometer speedo and tach
I want to replace the white bulbs in my Autometer in dash tach and electric speedo with blue ones but there seems to be no way of opening up the back of the gauges to get to the bulb. Has anyone ever done this or know how to do it? I would hate to have to send them back to autometer to have them but a new bulb in it.

I've got an in dash tach, 3 3/8, not the monster tach. But mine has a grommet type cap on the back. Just pop it out and twist the bulb out. Same as all other autometer stuff except it plugs right into the circuit board instead of the back of the gauge housing.

so your saying to just give the wires a gentle tug and the entire socket should pull away from the board? it just doenst look like its that easy but Iwill try it and see what happens

if your talking about the black plastic socket that all of the smaller gauges have then that is NOT what I have on my speedo and tach gauges. I know the plastic sockets come out by twisting and pulling though cuz all my smaller gauges have that style
