Ignition System
I want to upgrade my stock ignition and i already know i'm getting accell 8.8 spark plug wires and an msd 6AL box. what other msd parts will be effective with the 6AL? I'm still running my computer, so the HEI upgrade kit isn't gonna work. What about blaster coil? distributor cap? anything else that could help?

Why do you want a 6AL? If you're going to use it, then about the only other thing you might want to upgrade would be the coil.

the 6AL is the best valued ignition part, for what your getting... but your saying the 6AL plus the blaster is all that's needed?

No, I'm saying that the 6AL probably isn't going to give you any benefit (apart from the rev limiter) on a relatively stock engine that you couldn't get from something like an aftermarket ignition module.

- what aftermarket ignition module would you suggest?

I installed a Crane HI-6S ignition system into my '92 Blazer and it came with the matching coil, piggyback wiring harness, ignition system and a few pieces of mounting harware. Basically, the system was plug and play and I just had to remove the old coil to install the crane coil along with mount the ignition box. I didn't have to splice wires or anything, plus it has a built in rev limiter. If I remember correctly it will work with any external coil setup from '88 till '95. Besides, it only cost me $190 or so all together and only took about an hour to setup.

the 6al is a good box, i kno a dude who is running one inhis 1970 roadrunner with a 426 and it works awsome.
if it didnt pack enough power to make a difference in perfomance, he wouldnt be running it...

The 6 series boxes are just fine if you're running high RPMs or high cylinder pressures in a modified engine. For just about anything streetable though, your money is better spent on something else.
