Hookers + wiring = stupid Q?
Ok soo I put some hooker LTS on the car and burnt up my pos battery cable ok no big deal got a new one now trying to figure out best way to keep from toasting it again (60 bucks a hit).
So now comes the retarded question of the day. Can I wire up the other wires that go to the post on the starter (red with brown fusable links) straight to the battery or alternator? Doing so would give me alot more room between the headder and the block to play with for my POS battery lead so I can actually drive the car for more than a week
Any help is appreciated.

if those wires connect up to the alternator and battery, i dont see why you can't relocate them. Just to give an example, on my LT1 engine swap project, the wires for fusible links connect almost directly to the battery, dont connect to starter, but thats the way LT1 wiring is.

No they go from the starter to the ignition switch I believe I want to know if i can run them directly off the alternator or battery instead of the solonoid
If i can Ill do that instead of getting a remote solonoid

there should be only one for the ignition switch going to the solenoid. the others come off the pos batt post on the starter itself, basically directly off the battery...

Yes, the solenoid is just something to act as a switch for the starter with the one side being hot and the other neutral. It has the smaller posts for hooking up accessories instead of haveing to get those big round washers on the end of the wires so it can crowd up the post on your battery.
