Can't install new Powermaster alternator
Hey guys,
I bought a Powermaster chrome alternator and physically it's the same size and it should fit. The only problem I have is I pulled off that long bracket from the stock alternator because you need ot to secure it to the engine block with that long bolt. Anyways, on the powermaster the holes on the back don't line up with the bracket from the old alternator. Anyone have any ideas? This is driving me nuts I can't put this thing on.

I believe that is correct. Ok, well I tried mounting it without it and the alt mounting brackets don't line up with the holes to screw into. I don't get it, this alt looks exactly the same length and the I made sure I bought the right one. The bottom mounting plate has 3 holes and I tried lining the alt on all 3 but I still can't screw it in.
