dual batteries
I am going to hook up my laptop with a gps system and a bunch of other power robbing goodies.
I want to run two batteries but I am unsure of how to do it and was wondering if anyone has done something like this.

I have a dual battery set-up. Second battery is for stereo system and is mounted in the lock box in the rear. There are a few options to do this, I chose using a battery isolator which allows your alternator charge each battery as needed. The set-up is similar to an RV that uses a second battery to run all the hotel services in the vehicle.

cool I never thought of using that area for a battery. what size battery fits back there.
where did you get your isolator and how did you hook up the wiring. this is new to me but I feel I have to do it because I will be going on long road trips in this car

You can hook up an inverter (also available at auto parts store) to your second battery and then you have an AC outlet to plug in your laptop or whatever.
Good luck.
