dash, headlight, and turn signal problems, all related

i've been having a problem thats recently gotten worse. my dash lights will go out all at once, along with the heater and a/c control lights. sometimes i can smack the dash and they come back on. about the same time, i started having problems with my left turn signal, the right seems to be ok. it doesnt always happen, but when i hit it, the left headlight will go dim and stay that way, and the turn signal doesnt come on. on the dash, it will show the turn signal but dim, and not flashing. this can happen whether the dash lights are on or off.

i realize its just a loose wire somewhere, but what wires should i be looking at that could cause these symptoms?

theres a dash harness ground wire by the steering column, you will see it right where the steering column starts going into the dash should be on either side of the column

i looked for it but couldnt find it. i found one ground point on a bracket to the left and below the steering column with 3 or 4 grounds together. it seemed solid, and my neck was starting to hurt from leaning on my head down there, so i didnt take it apart.
after my alarm was installed it got worse, before i didnt have the problem with the signals, just my dash lights would go off, but it wasnt as bad and they'd always come back on with a slight tap of the dash. going to check later if one of those grounds is for the alarm and reground it if so.
