Anyone have a part number for the blasted thing? I haven't tested mine yet, but if it's bad (constant open), then I have to replace it. I would kind of like to know about how much it will cost me to replace the bugger, and I can't find the thing listed in ANY parts list...

 

Are you talking about the switch with the three wires going into the connector on top of the transmission case for the OD? That is known as the torque converter clutch solenoid, the part number for it is either 8654123 or 8654129. BTW, the part numbers have been changed from what I have in my manual, Give these numbers to the dealership and they can cross them over to the new ones. Some parts stores also carry them in stock or can order them.

 

I think he's looking for the switch, not the solenoid. 8634475 or 8642569 should work.

 

Yah, I was looking for the switch. I already know I can get the solenoid for $32 if I need it (and I think I might).

I looked at the two major parts stores (Advance and AutoZone) and neither carries the fourth gear switch, but both have the solenoid. If the switch is bad (like so many others have been), now I have a part number I can use to look up the part.
