temperature guage

the needle of the guage is stuck over 260 degrees.. i took off the bezel and flicked the needle, and it went back to being loose. Then when i turn the car back on, it jumps to 260. do i need a new guage? or do i need a new sensor?

I had the same thing. Not sure if it has always gone to full and just started getting stuck or what.

What i did was pull the gauge our and bent the lip up to vertical where the needle touched at top and botttom ( sometimes got stuck at the bottom after getting unstuck at the top ).

I also happened to notice my needle was loose. Super glued it down when i had it out. ( think it might have been the fact that the needle was loose) It was coming loose from the black circular part.

Worked for me, might work for you.
