Horn Switch
OK, did a search and found some diagrams and other useful information, but I am still banging my head against the wall.
Situation: horn not working, wiring in wheel cut out, wire from firewall to horn removed.
Solution: horn toggle switch/button mounted somewhere near wheel. (I have a grant steering wheel)
Has anyone ever done this and if so do you have any pictures of what you did. I thought about the grant horn kit but like i said the wiring is all cut up.
ALso, any pictures of the stock horn wiring placement would be beneficial as I am unsure as to where it goes since most of it has been removed.
Thanks,
Dave

I did much the same thing on one of my previous camaros. I bought it with a grant wheel already installed, but the stock horn wire was nowhere to be found. I ran a new wire from some hot source (I think I pulled it from somewhere in the horn circuit, but I really don't remember. Anyway, I ran it through a circular button that I mounted under the dash, then out directly to the horn.

thats pretty much exactly what i want to do, but i dont have the time or the place to fool around at all (no friends with a garage or place i can work on it, too busy with work and school, and property owners of the complex i live in dont permit working on cars so if im gonna do something i have to do it and get it done)
If anything pops back into your head about what you may have done feel free to post it.

thats a pretty good idea... or you could get an aftermarket wheel that already has the button on it. ive seen that a bunch and people use it for nos or something.
you know what you should do is when you get all that done get a really loud foghorn hooked up to it like the semi trucks that would be so cool. i might have to do that myself lol...
