what is this sensor/cable ??
Hello !
I was checking my GTA 5.7 and found a problem :
cable broken, it was burnt... see A.
this is possible the sensor which is missing the connection
now.
see the pics !
How do you call this sensor?
i had removed this thing and coolant was coming out of it...
is this a temp sensor ??
I need new one and the whole cable with hose too.
where can i get it ?
and one more thing, code 34 is flashing suddenly..
is this the reason of this error code ?

ok that sensor controls the fan throuth the computer however i,m sure you have a duel fan being a 5.7 this controls the fan motor also you may have another one on the thromstate housing not knowing the year of the vehicle. you can buy one from jeg or summit and with a new connector just know what temp you need due to your thermostat this is a cooling fan temp switch

Looks like the cooling fan switch.
rather usless in a dual fan setup but, still nice to have hooked up.
the harness wire should be grey iirc.
there are no yellow wires in the fan circuit for any year that I know of but, that (me knowing) doesn't mean much

Good call on the fan switch. Before you order, search fan switches on the cooling forum, there are some less expensive alternates available and ALOT of different temp. options.

There's alot of options! Personally, I run a 730 ECM so I just program what temp I want my fan on/off and plugged the hole.

You'll have to ask on the cooling forum.
I would *guess* that the black is ground and not needed since the unit should ground itself through the casing to the heads. I've no experience with fan switches though.
