Car Stopped Running

The fan motor in my car stopped working because something was blocking it when it tried to come on. That burned up the fan motor, so I replaced that and then wired it back up. Now, when I turn the ACC. on the fan will always come on and will not shut off. Also, the car was running fine before the fan motor burned up and now when the car is started it will idle at 2000 RPM's and then die if you try to put it into drive or reverse? What could be causing those two situations. Could it be a bad computer? It's a 1985 Z28 Camaro with a 5.7 L TPI and 305 computer?? Any help is much appreciated. The dealership can't figure it out.

The dealership finally pointed their fingers at the computer. They replaced it and everything works fine now. The fans, the idle, back to normal. The check engine light is still on, but they mentioned that's probably because the EGR has been removed so it's throwing that code.

with everything being stock, like the computer, the fan is supposed to come on when you turn on the a/c. otherwise the car would over heat

I'm sorry, I didn't mean A/C ... that was supposed to mean accessory (ACC.) position, like with the key on. Sorry for the confusion. I don't have A/C anymore, I wonder if the fans would still turn on even tho the compressor is gone??
