12 volts into distributor.....nothing out to the plugs

stock 86. I replaced the distributor with a non cc distributor and drove 30 miles and it cut off. No skipping or anything just cut off.
I put the stock dist. back on and hooked the comp. connection back up and still nothing. Took the ignition module to the parts house and it tested ok. The only thing i have done different is i had to take the 2 pink wires that plugged up to the BAT terminal and hook them together because i broke the connector.

I swapped caps with coils between the two and nothing. I run a jumper from the battery to the BAT terminal and nothing.

Does anyone have any ideas why i have 12 volts into the coil but nothing out????????????

Thanks for any ideas.

I'm guessing you no longer have an ESC, correct?

It doesn't have the esc. There is a 4 wire connector that goes into the stock dis. The new dis. does not have that plug.

I decided to try it again with the stock dis. and it started. I swapped the new one back in and nothing. Swapped back to stock AGAIN and it started but ran terrible.

MSD 6a says that it is compatible with gm hei. Could i just use the msd box and eliminate using the computer? My carb is not cc so i would like to eliminate the comp. The only thing i can come up with is a short somewhere. I would rather spend $139 than try to trace wires through the harness.

This is the dis. i have.
