replacing the turn signal...

well my high beams never worked in my car and neither did the main head lights so i replaced them and that fixed the lowbeams but my high beams never worked so i asked a friend about it

he said it could be something to do with the steering column it self and or the turn signal wires

so i am replacing that first seeing it will be the cheapest to get done , all the wires to my lights are in good condiction and connected to were they should be but they just wont turn on.

so you think if i replaced it that would help it ?

A small metal rod runs down through the steering column to the high beam switch. Either the rod is out of place or the switch is defective.
