c100 connector help
Wiring a project car I bought with the harness removed and no engine. I have installed the engine and will be running a vac adv distrib and carburator, and no ecm.
I labeled 4 wires on the bulkhead scan that I would like to know where they connect to. Also, if anyone can list the bare minimum wiring (connect this to this) type deal it would probably be a great help (I moved the batt to the trunk and am not running a elec fuel pump or any blower motor.)

pink wire at pin "F4" goes from connector C2 of ignition switch on steering column to ignition coil.
Red wire at pin "A4" goes from fusible link at starter solenoid to connector C1 & C2 of ignition switch & 35 AMP PWR ACC circuit breaker on fuse block. It also goes to the VATS fuse in the convenience center
Purple wire at pin "B4" goes from starter solenoid to either the park/neutral switch (auto) or the clutch safety switch (manual) on clutch pedal and the "crank" fuse on the fuse panel.
Red wire at pin "G5" will go from fusible link at starter solenoid to the "FOG LAMP" fuse on the fuse block then to pin "A" of light switch and "ACC" fuse on fuse panel.

Thanks.
1. With a rear mount batt, should I run the wire from the alt back to the batt with 10 gauge? Or should I run the wire from post on alt to the batt post on starter? (if that will work for charging).
The alt wiring has me confused. Right now I have the "s" wired to the post on back of alt, and I dont know where to wire the "f" to.
2. How do you remove the pins and re-insert them in the other harness? I dont want to damage the wires and cant get them out.
3. Where do the wires from the relay attached to wire in location "g8" go? Is there a diagram for that?

Tommy, I'm not sure where you got that picture of the C100 connector from. Possibly one that I had posted for someone else earlier. Any way, if you are using that for the 85 camaro listed in your profile, it is the wrong one. I didn't notice it earlier but that one is for a car made in the 90's. Here is the correct one for the 85 camaro.

Trickster, I have a 92 TBI camaro that I am doing this carb swap on. If you have a chance can you still give my other questions a shot?
I got that disgram from you for the 92 camaro a while ago.
Does the wire from the #1 terminal on the alt go to the c100 connector?
You have helped me so much with the answers so far.
John

No need to bump John, I just got home from work and had a nice T-bone steak with potatoes for dinner. Will sail with the Captain later tonight.
To answer some of your questions, I will start with the one about the #1 wire from the alternator. Yes it goes to pin "G8" of C100 and from there goes to the "FAN" fuse.
As far as the wire from the battery to the alternator, you might want to consider using 8 guage wire instead of 10. 8 guage is the wire normally used for this application.
BTW, go back and review the first post that I made here concerning those wires on connector C100. I listed them according to the 85 camaro listed in your profile. I edited it tonight and listed them according to the 92 camaro TBI model.

Thanks for all the help Trickster. I got the starter to turn the engine when i turn the key....sucks cause I have no coolant in it and no radiator so I cant start it to determine if the ignition coil and distributor are functioning properly.
1. Anyway, I cannot get my coolant fan to activate when I ground the green/white wire on the relay. I jumpered the red power to the black/purple to the fan and it turned on, so I know it works. Why do you think it will not work when grouding the green/white?? My intention was to run it to a toggle switch for manual use. Could it be associated with the fan fuse and brown wire?
2. I have the coolant fan, and the two fuse block power wires on the starter batt post, is that BAD? Can I run the batt charge wire from the alt post to the starter batt post as well? (my cable I got is too short to reach all way to the battery in trunk)
3. IF #2 is a NO, where can I get the cheapest smallest functional distribution block to mount the coolant fan power and alt charge wire, as well as future accesaries?

Disregard last post, whifch I think everyone did anyway. I resolved all of those issues.
1. Now, I have installed a lighting harness and it does not have wiper wires in it. I want my wipers. I am going to repin the harness, but I have two wires coming off the long connector on the 92 wiper unit that are cut. I have no idea where they go. They are blue and red. I dont think they come from the c100.
Heres a pic:
2. Also, my turnsignals in the front will not light up and the rears light but do not blink (same iwth the indicators on dash). What would cause this? I do not have my headlights installed and possible not my park lights if this matters. The driverside turnsignal harnes has two maybe green wires that have one terminal connectors on the end. Where do they go?

To start with the red & blue wires for the wiper motor, the red wire goes from pin "A" of the wiper motor to pin "D" of the wiper motor module. The blue wire goes from pin "B" of the wiper motor to pin "E" of the wiper motor module..
As for the problem with the turn signals, if you do not have the park lights or marker lights connected you will not (repeat not) have any turn signals in the front as they are part of that circuit.
BTW, the turn signal wiring is not related to the wiper motor in any way other than the fact that the turn signal/wiper switch connectors on the steering column are both mounted on the right side of the column under the dash.

It is the unit with black cover sitting on top of your wiper motor as shown in your picture with the connector with all the wires going to it. It has a circuit board inside it.

I still cant figure out those red and blue wires. i see that they go to the wiper motor module connector up top, but they come out of that connector and I dont know how to connect them to the wiper motor???
The wiper motor has a connector with like three wires going to it, but no where to put these two red and blue wires.

The red and blue go from the wiper module to the WASHER motor. Im an idiot. I think this is where they go. I dont have a washer motor nor have i ever seen one.
WIll the wipers work without a washer motor. I could care less for washer fluid, i wont be riding around with any.

Hello John,
Sorry, I was a little tired last night when I posted my reply about the red & blue wire. If you will take a look at the windshield washer tank, you will notice a motor on it. That is the pump motor for the washer fluid and that is where the red & blue wires go. Sorry about the confusion.

Not a prob, I dont have a washer tank with this car. Anyway I freakin broke one of the pins trying to remove it from the c100 connector. I still havent got one of the pins out yet. Is there a trick to getting the wires out and then to putting them into another connector?
