CTSY Fuse Keeps Blowing

As a lot of you that have done your homework on these cars know, the CTSY Fuse is the fuse that opperates the Power Door Locks, Power Side Windows, and the Radio Antenna. I have gone through about 4 fuses as a temp. fix for it but am looking for a couple of ideas on how to fix it permanently. I took apart the door the other day and looked at the power door locks thinking it was just them (until looking at the circuit in the manual and finding the fuse) and all seemed to be ok. After a new fuse they worked perfectly. I think it might be a loose wire somewhere in the A/C and Heater controls that is causing it to short. I will look in there sometime soon but until then does anyone have any other suggestions on where to start troubleshooting? I also have swapped the TPI for an LS1 and replaced the old stereo system with a new Pioneer unit. Don't know if that means anything to anyone. Thanks in advance.

isnt that the one that has the lighter on it too? i had a gum wrapper fall in mine and caused intermitant fuse blowings.

loose wires dont cause shorts. wires hitting other wires or grounds cause shorts. how did you hookup the power wires to the aftermarket deck?

i think that circuit powers more than you think.

I soddered(sp?) the wires together for the head unit and just tucked them back up in there where the factory ones were located. It had instructions that came with the unit and I just followed them. Everything seemed right. I also forgot to mention that I do NOT have A/C on the car yet. I don't know if that would affect anything and I also have a vacume leak that seems to be behind the A/C and Heating controls. I just found that it also powers Dome/Reading/Courtesy Lights/Glove Box/Hatch Release/ and Cigar Lighter. I am almost positive that there is nothing in the cigar lighter but I will check that to make sure. Thanks. I have just been through heck to get this thing running with the new engine and I think that I've started to go

somewhere there is something drawing to much current or shorting to ground, if you cant find it then you will have to unplug or cut wires, one at a time to isolate the circuit.
