Will be hooking up my gauges soon, and need some help with the wiring!!!...
Ok, sometime soon I plan on hooking up my homemade gauge cluster and full pillar pod for my 88 camaro(was a V6 now it's a V8). I don't have any good wiring diagrams to help me with this, plus I am colorblind so I have to have someone help me here so I don't get stuff mixed up. Anyway, since I'm using all Autometer gauges, I will be running all of my own wiring from the gauges, but I still need splice points from the factory harnesses. First, the lighting issue. All the gauges come with little light bulbs that have a white and black wire. White goes to the 12V+ light source, and the black to a ground. I want all the gauges to come on with the headlights, and be able to dim with the dimmer switch. So, does that mean that I can hook up ALL of the white gauge light wires to the 12V side dimmer switch and then ALL the black wires to the dimmer switch ground? Next, for the fuel level, which wire in the harness for the dash/instrument cluster do I need to use to tap into the sender? Also, which wires in the dash harness are used for the left hand and right hand turn signals? Any help is greatly appreciated on this subject. If you can post actual pictures of any of these wires that would be a tremendous help. As always, any thought/suggestion/opinions are welcome. Thanks again, Paul Moore

C'mon guys, I only need a little info on 3 wires!!!
1. What is the color of the wire for the fuel level sender?
2. What color is the wire for the left hand turn signal?
3. What color is the wire for the right hand turn signal?
Or if you could just post up a picture/wiring diagram of the dashboard/instrument cluster wiring for an 88 camaro, that would be even better. Any help, guys???

Connect one side of the gauge lights to the dimmer circuit, and the other side to ground anywhere it's convenient. LH turn signal should be light blue, RH should be dark blue. Fuel level sender wire should be pink.

the gauge lights will be tapped into the grey wire and the black will go to ground. The fuel level feed should be a pink with black stripe. I believe the left signal is green and the right is light blue. I will have to look to make sure though.
