How to wire up courtesy lights??
I have a Lexus that has really nice courtesy lights. When you open the doors, lights come on from the bottom of doors, by the back rear window, under the dash, etc and softly flood the cabin with nice colored light till the car is either started or for about 30 seconds; whichever comes first.
I'd like to add the same type of system in my Camaro and have no idea of the basics for this type of project.
I'd also like to add the optional overhead map light console and remove the trip odometers and replace them with two cigarettle lighter/power-ports for my radar detector and G-Tech computer. Should I be able to run both power ports and the map light off of one power wire or will I need to run seperate hot wires ( I know it's hard to guess without knowing the amp draw each unit will pull: I'll have to research that info later; it's not printed in the instruction manuals). I'm open to direction. Thank you, Nitro
