cruise control prob on tbi? same as tpi?

cruise control prob on tbi? same as tpi?
ive read through the article on how to check the cc switch. but he kept stressing how his car is tpi. my wires all look like his from the pics. but is testing my tbi car the same accurate? if so it looks like i need a new switch. thanks.
