Alternative Alternator?

Was wondering if there is an alternative alternator I can buy. I have the stock 1992 TBI serpentine setup, but my brother got me really nice tall chrome valve covers for Xmas, and there's a bolt on the back of the stock TBI alternator that wants to touch the valve cover. Anyone got part numbers or vehicle to buy for where the alternator connectors are the same, but this bolt is in a different location on the back?

one way you can fix that, if you are carefull is to take the alt apart and rotate the rear housing. Or try finding a shop that rebuilds alts and tell them your problem.

Looks to me if I rotate the rear housing, then the brace that connects to the first bolt in the ex manifold/headers won't work any longer - I'd like to maintain that added bracing on the serpintine setup.
