lots of questions

alright after holding onto my car for 8 years ive finally put in a 383 in my carand going to fire it up here in a couple of weeks. I want to get rid of the computer and harness and want to know if all gauges and lights will work after removing it. I plan on unpluging the computer and justfollow the wires from there im hoping this will clean up the compartment since all i see are wires now.I will be runing the 700r4 but will buy a seperate controller for it. The car was a computer carb setup also i was wanting to put in after market gauges and was wondering what is needed to make them work i havnt studied up on this to much. Any help on this would be appreciated the car is a 86 trans am by the way

I have heard that that 700r4 cant take that much power, especially from that 383 and higher.
Other than that, no idea :P
