Power without the Engine?

hey everyone,

I am currently in the process of getting me a 350 and 700r4 trans, but that wont be able to put in for awhile, so i was wondering, what all has to be connected under the hood for me to get power to stuff on the inside, i wanna make sure everything is working properly while i have the free time..

i didnt take the original 2.8 out, so i dont know what all was unplugged and unhooked.. so if anyone could help me out it would be very appreciated.\

would it be a good idea to run any of the electronics with the motor out? will it hurt anything? im just trying to make sure i dont need to replace stuff when the car is finished..

So long as nothing grounds out, the internal electrical should work fine.

the battery... enbine controls dont need to be connected to run electrical, however, if the harness for the rest of the car is touched you never know. Try it and see...
