Maybe a question for trickster? If anyone has the diagram how the hatch motor works I would like to check it out. My Hatch motor only works once and that is down. Think the microswitch or what ever it is, is not working and does not activate the motor to come back up. I was thinking about manually installing a switch to control the motor, if that is possible?

I think GM came out with this motorized thing cause all of these people would slam the hatch down and mess things up.Mine didnt work at all..and it bugged me cause the hatch wasnt lined up.I bought another one off ebay and used the parts off that one to make a good working one and the old one I just measured it with the hatch closed and welded it up.No more motor junk.The problem with most of those are the plastic guides and gear cover at the bottom forever cracking and breaking.I have a schematic for an 89 hatch which should be the same ,but the wiring doesnt get color coded when it hits the motor assembly the 90 schematic was worse.If your interested I really have no way of getting online (no scanner).
